It’s July but not too early to get ready for the Honk! Parade.
This year’s projects: Echinacea and sunflower headgear and a squadron of red-winged blackbirds.

Last year’s Blue-Fronted Dancer damselflies and Wandering Glider dragonflies need a little spa treatment, a little strength training, to fly successfully again another year. So we’re gathering at Fresh Pond Reservation, whose species are represented at the parade, to apply our long, terrifying dollmaking needles, boxcutters and savor faire to industrial-strength cardboard, repurposed quilts and outcast black suits, chickenwire, and the like. It happens this Saturday, July 13th in Cambridge, Mass. at 1:00 p.m..
